Rambling on and on...

Do I like Christmas?...I think that question is a little misleading. Do I enjoy celebrating Christ's birth? yes. Do I see the need to continually teach the next generation about what this holiday means? yes. That's not the point. Our tree is up. That's the point. I have never put any decorations up before Thanksgiving before and hope to never do it again but we needed to take a picture for a supposed Christmas card from our office. (You'll see it below) It made sense to put the tree up a few days before turkey day for the picture. I don't have a problem with the "Reason for the Season" but I haven't figured out why Target can't just have a "Holiday Sale". I guessed I could have missed how the new Tickle Me Elmo being 10% off has anything to do with Jesus birth.

and now I digress...on with the picture!!!


Did I mention that our neighbor is going to try to get first place in Christmas decorating? He is. AND, our cul-de-sac won last year for the best decorated street. I knew we weren't going to beat Next-door-Barry, (I'm cheap and don't like tacky decorations) so I asked what I needed to do to be the next-to-least decorated house. That way it's not my fault if we lose...it's the guy who I beat.
