Morning

Nothing too heavy for you this morning, friends.  I woke up feeling a little, well, sleepy, as one would expect from a 5:30 a.m. wake time.  And not for my kids, but to get my husband's lunch made and get him off to work.  Early?  Yes.  But I'll take it over 3rd shift any day.

So, back to me being sleepy.  The usual routine is this... 5:30 - get up, stumble to the coffee maker (you saw the blog tag line, right?  I'm super serious about that coffee business), start the coffee while I get husband's lunch made.  Say goodbye at 6, sit down with my coffee, and enjoy a good 30-45 minutes to myself before my earliest riser (the monkey in the middle) gets up.  Quiet time, a peruse of facebook, and a cup of hot coffee.  It's delightful.  My quiet times this week have been centered around the book of Psalm, as that is what we are working through at church.  Today, I listened to something called The Prayerbook Project, where this guy is writing songs inspired by each chapter.  Really cool thing.  But... at 6:15 today, everyone was awake.  Even the little dude.   What?  What happened to routine?  Don't they know I need "my time"?  :)  But what I love is how when Collin wakes up, he calls for his sisters.  He loves them and they love him right back.  I love all my kids, and I delight in their differences, but something about having a little boy (particularly a silly, sweet, and usually sensitive little boy) just melts my heart.

That's all.  Just sharing a glimpse into our day.  It's not a portrait to hang on the wall... just one of those photobooth quick pix.  :)

Hope you all have a great day - be intentional today!
