Fun with Brennan

Our friends, the Elmers, came over the other day. It was a fun-filled day, full of all kinds of special treats. Kim, Brennan (5), and Rowan (2), joined the Smeltzer girls for a long walk to the park (about 2.5 miles round trip). We had lunch and homemade ice cream - cones, of course. Rowan and Mattie took a nap, but Kenna and Brennan had some fun in the sun (and water) and I managed to capture some of the cuteness on camera. Here are a few snapshots for your viewing pleasure.

After the splashing fun, we sat down to rest with popcorn and a movie. My daughter loves Christmas movies and will watch them all year. I used to hide them in the cabinet, but she found the hiding spot. Anyway, we let Brennan pick the movie this time. His choice? Polar Express! Makenna was thrilled! She loves the train movie. :) When they left she said "Momma, I had fun today." And so did I!!
